This is the front of 1561 Olalla Road, Winston, Oregon. When we bought this house it was a repossession and the project began. The inside was a total remodel including replacing all of the doors, some windows, customizing all of the closets and completely remodeling both bathrooms. This was done starting with the front bathroom. This was so we could take showers every time we walked through the place. Well it wasn't quite that bad, but we definitely went through some soap! In the end, we added the retaining wall in front and planted the orchard. It is now irrigated with 8 acre feet of water from Olalla Creek; and it needs it in the summer. This home was definitely a labor of love for both Jill and I.
This is the barn where Striper lived when we moved in. She was living out there with one other cat (an orange striped one) who was so wild we trapped her and took her to the animal rescue facility. They later told us the cat had never been handled by people so it was put down. That was a shame, but eventually we trapped Striper and she has now become my family. She now lives comfortably with me in my trailer! Ah, my mistake, her trailer. She does let me use one of the beds!
I'll add some more pics of the house when we bought it as soon as I get a chance.
